Thought your boss’ attitude was bad? At least they don’t lounge around in a pile of flowers all day!
There’s something a little off about the boss at Takase Flower Farm in Fukuoka Prefecture. First of all, she seems furrier than mos. Second, don’t those big ears sticking straight up seem a little strange? Third, well, we won’t even mention the dark, wet nose!
If you haven’t guessed it yet, then yes, the boss, Peko, is of the adorable Shiba Inu canine variety. Her business’ Twitter account, @takase_farm, recently shared a series of photos of her in full-out slacking-on-the-job managerial mode that has the internet squealing in delight:
▼ Don’t forget to boop the snoot!
https://t.co/0izEE2N4Xl

“We have a managerial dog at work. She’s entrusted with the incredibly difficult task of doing absolutely nothing while us subordinates gently caress her and give her plenty of kisses. As a result oxytocin is secreted inside our bodies and heals our fatigue so that we can make even more progress with work. I believe others that have a dog for a boss will understand what we mean.”
Peko looks like she’s positively ready to bloom, right? @takase_farm soon posted a follow-up message after receiving all of the online love for the first post.
“Thank you very much. We will pass on your regards to our boss. By the way, her name is Peko. We hope for your continued support.”
Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time that Peko has been spotted resting on a bed of plants or donning a flower accessory as she doles out orders for her underlings. Here are just a few pieces of photographic proof from the past year.

Japanese net users positively fell in love with the scene of Peko exerting her authority from her flower bed, leaving comments such as the following:
“What do I have to do for you to hire me?”
“I want a boss with a healing smile like that.”
“The boss lets you kiss her?!”
“Didn’t you know? Dogs need lots of kisses. Their very lives depend on it, so it’s legal to kiss the boss.”
“I’m more of a cat person but this really looks like an enviable place to work…”
“What an excellent boss! I’m sure she would be delighted if you created a carpet of cherry blossom petals for her to walk on.”
Some even replied with photos of their own animal bosses:
▼ Nimame Boss (in charge of food tasting)
▼ Kotaro and Koyuki Bosses (in charge of bed quality control)
▼ Unnamed cat boss (in charge of budgets)
Oh, and on the other end of the spectrum, for a different set of scenes of a fellow Shiba Inu that doesn’t feel like moving (let alone working), check out the adorable Yu in (non)action.
