If you have old baby clothes lying around, this might be a great way to use them!
If you have kids, or nieces and nephews or even friends with kids, then you know: there are so many adorable ways to dress up babies. I mean, who doesn’t love a baby in a Goku costume?! Sadly, babies grow so fast that oftentimes they’ll get to wear that precious onesie just once or twice before it’s too small, and it will soon become clutter that needs to be cleared up, Marie Kondo-style.
But nobody wants to say goodbye to those sweet memories of when their babies were teeny-tiny and adorable. That’s why Twitter user and mom of two girls, Pokotarou (@pokotarou2525), decided to turn her daughters’ pink bunny onesie into a loveable stuffed rabbit.
▼ “I couldn’t throw away this onesie that both of my daughters used when they were babies, so I breathed new life into it!”

It’s a win-win situation. The pink bunny onesie earned a new purpose in life as a happy new friend for Pokotarou’s daughters named Karo-chan, and Pokotarou got to keep a cute memento of a time when her girls were still sweet babies!
Pokotarou doesn’t say what methods she used to get it to look like a stuffed animal, but it seems simple enough: sew on white fabric for the face, glue on a nose, mouth, and eyes, stuff it with soft cotton stuffing, and sew it shut! Voila.
▼ Karo-chan was cold, apparently, so the girls put clothes on her.
Unsurprisingly, Japanese parents all across Twitter loved the idea:
“I’m touched by how perfect the sentiment is. It’s like your third daughter! They’ll definitely take good care of it.”
“This!!! I’ve got one outfit that I keep coming back to because I just can’t get rid of it. I’m going to try to do the same thing!”
“Wow! I never thought of this, so this is handy! I also have trouble throwing things out.”
“That’s so, so cute! It looks like a toy full of warmth. I totally understand not being able to let go of your kids when they were babies.”
“Wonderful! So cute!”
“That’s so cute! It’s so lovely how you can preserve and keep the memories close!”
So if you happen to have some baby onesies like this adorable yellow bear, then this is a great way to get some extra mileage out of them, and to remember how cute your baby was before it turned into a snarky teenager.
