What better way to celebrate Christmas than in the Land of Dreams?
Between Disneyland’s 35th anniversary and Mickey’s 90th birthday, Tokyo Disneyland and Sea have been extra celebratory in 2018. That’s why we just had to make it to both parks to see their special Christmas parades this year, and each park’s parade was spectacular and interactive.
Tokyo Disneyland’s parade featured an original song with an original dance. By grabbing a spot to watch the parade before it started, we also got the opportunity to learn the dance taught by Disneyland staff. It was easy enough that kids and adult alike could learn quickly and enjoy the feeling of being part of the show.
▼ Put your hands up!
The Christmas Parade floats featured classic characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, and Scrooge.
▼ Mickey sure knows how to rock a reindeer sweater.
Around the floats were expert dancers and reindeer. What made it extra Christmassy was the added sound of ringing bells and a Christmas story!
▼ Who knew that reindeer were such good dancers (and could dance on two legs)?

At Tokyo Disney Sea, things were a little different. Mickey and Minnie wore costumes of mostly white and they also rang bells to the beat of popular Christmas songs. Singers and dancers performed these songs live, and since the songs were classic ones, you couldn’t resist singing along with them!
Disney characters and dancers alike also performed beautiful tap dances and line dances. Characters moved between the three stages in Mediterranean Harbor so that everyone got a chance to see their favorites.
▼ Donald’s got some moves.
The finale featured characters giving presents to those important to them, inducing a lot of “aww” moments.
▼ Aw, Goofy, you shouldn’t have!
Duffy characters and Santa Claus also made an appearance at the end.
▼ There’s no way Tokyo Disney Sea would forget Duffy and friends!
Between Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea’s amazing parades, seasonal menus, Mickey’s fan service, and staff that help you make the best marriage proposals, we don’t think we’ll ever get tired of going there!
